One day Thomas was at the junction, when Gordon puffed in with some trucks.
"Phew! What a funny smell. A funny musty sort of smell." said Thomas.
"Nobody noticed it until you did." grunted Gordon. "It must be your's."
"Annie, Clarabel; do you know what I think it is... Its Ditch water!"
Before Gordon could reply, Thomas puffed away with Annie and Clarabel.

"Nobody lets me forget about the time I refused to pull that dirty goods train, try to jam the turntable and fell into the ditch." sighed Gordon. "It could happen to any engine."
